Used Car Parts For Sale

By Thomas Morva

Used car parts for sale can be found on the Internet, in the flea market, salvage yards, and many gas stations. Salvage yards are the best place to find used auto parts because of the many varieties that they provide the buyer with. This is not true of gas stations that may sell far cheaper but useless parts to unsuspecting buyers. Many gas stations on the highway sell these parts because they are able to buy these parts from people who abandon their cars and broken down vehicles on the highway.

Used car parts for sale can also be found in the flea market as well as in the wholesale and retail market. Many auto parts sellers deal in duplicate auto parts and care should be taken before buying the same. The market is flooded with Chinese duplicate auto parts that usually become useless after some use.

The market for used car parts is ever expanding because of the increase in production of automotive vehicles and cars. Recycling used car and automotive parts can solve the problem of disposing waste that is created because of abandoned and old cars. Recyclers also deal in used parts and usually sell quality products to their customers.

The Internet provides a buyer or a seller with a huge market for selling and buying used car and automotive parts. However, the quality of these parts cannot be judged easily because the parts cannot be actually seen and touched. Unbranded, locally manufactured or duplicate auto parts can prove to be dangerous.

Almost all the automobile companies offer original parts for their products if they need to be replaced. Some auto parts are also covered by warranties and some are not. It is advisable to buy used parts that are covered by a warranty but these are very rare and hard to find.

The used automotive market is very huge and there are countless options available for a buyer or a seller. Thus, selling and buying used auto parts can be a pleasurable activity if the dealer knows the proper places and markets.

Strong Sales for Cars and Light Trucks Forecasted

By Anthony Fontanelle

At the annual Convention and Exposition in Las Vegas, good news was shared to the car manufacturing industry by the chief economist of the National Automobile Dealers Association or NADA. Paul Taylor, who is renowned for his insightful analysis of automotive sales and the economic trends in the US, has forecasted that this year, 2007, sales of cars and light trucks will equal that of last year. He cited that the reason for the projected sales output in the year 2007 is the arrival of many high-quality fuel efficient vehicles.

Taylor said that signs in the economy and the market shows that this year will see a solid year in the sale of cars and light trucks. He added that any significant increase in the roughly estimated 16.5 million units to be sold will be hampered by steady interest rates as well as the continued slowing of home mortgage refinancing. But the two factors will definitely not stop the steady pace of vehicle sales unlike the EBC Greenstuff brake parts that can easily stop a moving vehicle.

The chief economist reported on the trends that governed the car and light truck sales last year. He said that light trucks comprise the biggest percentage of light vehicles used last year at 53 percent. Sedans also increased in sales but not enough to be the majority in the total sales of light vehicles in 2006. Another segment that exhibited continuous growth in the market share is the crossover utility vehicle (CUV) segment. CUV sales have increased by 9.1 percent over 2005 sales figures and Taylor has forecasted that the growth of the segment will continue and he even is brave enough to state that he is predicting an 8 percent increase in 2007.

Sedans, which have seen steadily growing demand, has increased their sales by 1.8 percent for the full-size sedans while for the small cars, the increase is 4.7 percent. New designs and better mileage of the cars played a major role to the increase in the demand of the public for them. This is apparent in the newer models which have radically changed their appearance to increase their aesthetic value.

A prime example of this is the cars from Volvo which has departed from their reputation of having a boxy design. The effort by car manufacturers to produce good looking cars is aimed to attract the attention of younger car buyers. The younger generation is the target now of different car makers hoping that they will create a loyal buyer base that would later see them being long term consumers.

Taylor further predicted that used car sales by franchised new car dealerships will best last year’s figures. “Used vehicles sales will receive increased attention by new car dealerships,” the economist quipped. He added that “dealers will look for ways to increase used-car sales, and at least 100,000 additional light vehicles are likely to sell at franchised new-car dealerships this year”. Taylor also stated that “used-car sales and parts and service revenue will be an important focus for dealers this year”.

Other factors that allows the chief economist to predict the steady pace of automobile sales for this year is the low employment numbers which average 4.6 to 4.8 percent in 2007. He also cited the number of people per month returning to work which rose up to 130,000 will be generating many used car costumers and a small number of new car customers.

Taylor spoke for the National Automobile Dealers Association which has been founded in 1917 and is based in McLean, VA. The association represents more or less 20,000 new car and truck dealers which has a combined number of franchises of 43,000 globally.

Tips on Selling Your Used Car

By Janet Doherty

PREPARING YOUR CAR FOR SALE:

Used cars have greater chances of being sold faster and at a higher price when they are well prepared prior to selling. Cars that look good give good impression on the total condition of the car. Your car should look clean inside and out. Used cars look presentable when they are washed and waxed in the exterior and vacuumed in the interior. Detailing it can also give an added boost. Buffing the paint and airbrushing do not only hide scratches and marks, but will also make your car look in its top condition. Bringing the car to a full service wash is also a good idea, which can guarantee the car to come out looking good. Including a free car wash booklet to your local car wash with the sale can also make your car more attractive to potential buyers.

FIXING YOUR CAR:

Cars with more damages sell less. Even minor defects such as burnt lights and fuses for example are eyesores to prospective clients. If you can repair obvious damages to your cars, do it. Repair or replace parts whenever you can afford. Remember that sellers and dealers can point out the cost of repairs as reasons to haggle for lower price. Of course this only includes low cost repairs. If you are selling your vehicle, you don’t want to make any high cost repairs.

DETERMINING THE VALUE OF YOUR CAR:

Check the fair market value of your car and order a Vehicle History Report to prove the car's title is clean and the odometer is accurate. Determine a fair asking price of your car by checking out similar cars that are advertised for sale in your local newspaper classifieds. This will give you an idea of a price range that is competitive in the used car market. Sell your car yourself rather than have it traded by a dealer. You can set up a higher price for your car when you sell them yourself. Dealers have to resell the car so they usually buy cars less than the real worth of the cars.

ADVERTISING YOUR CAR:

You can sell your car directly by showing it to friends or family members who may be planning to purchase a used car. You may also post a sign with your contact number in your car so interested parties can see that the car is for sale. Utilizing public bulletin boards can also be very helpful. The best way to find a local buyer for your vehicle is to place an ad in your local newspaper classifieds. The best time of the year to sell a vehicle is in the springtime so if at all possible, wait until that time to list your car. Posting photos of your car is also highly recommended because it allows interested buyers to see what your car looks like. It also makes the car more attractive because it will give buyers an idea of what they would exactly get. If your newspaper does not offer photos or if the photo option is too costly, you can use a photo hosting service for your classified ads. By providing online photos, prospective buyers will be able to preview your vehicle before they call for an appointment. This will eliminate any needless client queries about your car and attract serious buyers.

Car Buying Tips and Tricks

By Dennis J James

If you have not began shopping for your new car you may be searching for a few tips and tricks, if this is the case then these should give you some pointers to start with.

#1 – Be Informed

Learn how to research on the internet to get all the information you can about the vehicle you are planning to trade in. You can also use the internet to find rebates and low interest rates on the models that you might wish to purchase. Information such as dealer invoices can even be found on-line which will give you a heads up when it comes to negotiating.

#2 – Know What You Want

Before you begin your search, know what model you are interested in including the body style, color and the price you are willing to pay. When you visit a dealership, most salespersons will try to sell you a car based on what they believe you should have instead of the one you want. Make a list of cars that you will be happy to own, it is always better to have at least two or three in mind; this gives you flexibility, which will help you in the negotiating process.

#3 – Do Not Impulse Buy

The number one rule is do not let the salesperson see how much you like a car. If you allow your emotions to get in the way of buying a car, you may find that you just bought a car that you cannot afford and you are not happy with.

#4 – Long Term Maintenance Costs

Think about the cost of maintaining the car you plan to purchase. Some cars that look flashy; have large great looking wheels, and other specialty items can cost quite a bit if the need arises to replace any of the parts. Foreign cars parts may also cost more than American car parts. Do your homework again, so you will know what to expect when you need replacement parts.

#5 - Insurance

Talk with your insurance agent prior to buying a new car. Ask how much your insurance will be and be sure to include any amount over what you are paying now to the price it will cost for the new car. Be sure that you can afford the increase in insurance along with the car payment.

#6 – The Car Salesperson

The person that is selling you a car is not there to save you money; therefore, you can expect him or her to treat you like their best friend. They are there to get the most for each and every vehicle on the lot. This gives the salesperson a good commission and a pat on the back from the manager.

#7 – Save Time and Money

Instead of going to the car dealership first, you can save quite a bit of time and in many cases money if you talk with your banker about a new car loan. You may find that you can get a lower interest rate on your own rather than using the dealership for the car loan.

Jaguar Colorado Springs Car Buying Tips

By Dominic Ferrara

If you're looking to buy a Jaguar Colorado Springs, you are in for a good surprise. Because most car dealers know how to get the best money for a car, you need to know how to find the lowest deal possible. There are a couple things you can do to make your car purchase a lot more fun and more affordable. We will give some tips you need to know before you go to the car dealers.

Buying a Jaguar is a big purchase. More than likely you are financially educated otherwise you wouldn't be able to afford a car like this. If so, why not take the time to educate yourself on what you need to know before you buy your next car. First we would highly recommend that you search online first to get a good feel for how much the car is going for in other places. It could very well be that a Jaguar in Florida would be cheaper but of course you would have to factor in the shipping cost. Usually, through a company like DAS at dasautoshippers.com you can ship a car for $300 to $1000. However, if you're going to save multiple $1000s it might be worth while.

Second, we highly recommend that you read other consumer reviews about the car. One of our favorite sites is edumunds.com . There you can read consumer reviews and expert reviews. I personally like the consumer reviews better because they are real people who use the car everyday and give some good advice of how the car actually works. I bought a car and the consumer reviews said that food get's stuck between the seats easilly and sure enough, they're right. I have food between the seats all the time.

Finally, have the car inspected before you purchase. If it's a new car you have a warrenty and the lemon law but if it's a used Jaguar then you need it inspected. A good place would be a mechanic in Colorado Springs or Pueblo who could do that for you for a $100. It's well worth it.

Buying a Jaguar Colorado Springs doesn't have to be painful. Just make sure you do your homework first before you go. Oh, you may want to take a look at Ebay Motors also to see what kinds of deals they have.

Kia Adds to Its Lineup the Cee'd Sporty Wagon

By Glady Reign

Last year, Kia has unveiled their cee'd hatchback at the Paris Motor Show. The sporty look of the hatchback has endeared it a large number of motorists. Not only is its exterior looks the good thing about this car, its interior is also of high aesthetic value with its three-spoke steering wheel and fashionable trim. With the success of the hatchback, Kia is counting on that momentum to transfer to their unveiling of the cee'd Sporty Wagon. The sport wagon version of the cee'd will make its debut at the upcoming 2007 Geneva Motor Show on March 6 this year.

The cee'd is slated to be available on dealership by August of this year. Jean-Charles Lievens, Senior Vice-President of Kia Motors Europe has this to say about the Kia cee'd Sport Wagon: “The new Kia cee'd Sporty Wagon retains all the attributes of the cee'd hatchback and offers consumers extra practicality and versatility, with a unique extended tailgate design, while keeping stylish stand-alone good looks with a truly sporty feel. With ride, handling, and performance every bit as responsive as the hatchback, the Sporty Wagon will be available with a similar choice of engines and specifications. The Sporty Wagon is sure to delight existing Kia customers and to attract European customers who have not yet considered our brand.”

The Kia's 4.5-meter long frame gives it the advantage of more luggage space compared to the hatchback. The passenger and cargo space of the cee'd Sporty Wagon is the best in its class. The wagon version is also equipped with technologically advanced features from entertainment to safety. Customers are also given a wide selection of trim packages. Kia has provided a lineup of 18 Sporty Wagons with a choice from three different equipment levels, five engines, manual or automatic transmission and a host of other optional features. This wide variety of choice makes it possible for consumers to buy a car that will suit them very well like how a Volvo strut mount fits perfectly into the steering suspension mix of a Volvo.

The luggage capacity of the cee'd Sporty Wagon is 534 liters which is almost 200 liters more than that of the hatchback version. The overall length of the Sporty Wagon is 235 millimeters longer than the hatchback. Most of that increase can be found behind the rear wheels. The Sporty Wagon is also 10 millimeters taller than the hatchback. This increase in dimension of the Sporty Wagon does little to affect its handling which is as responsive as that of the hatchback version. What Lievens is talking about when he said that the Sporty Wagon has a unique extended tailgate design is the reduced upswing and outswings of the tailgate. This is made possible by moving the tailgate’s hinges 225 millimeters forward, this design development allows users to stand closer to the car when opening or closing the tailgate.

The unveiling of the cee'd Sporty Wagon is the logical step of progression for the Asian car manufacturers following the release of the hatchback version of the cee'd. To complete the cee'd family; Kia is scheduled to introduce to the market a Sporty Hatch version in December of this year. The trio represents the first generation of Kia cars to be designed and manufactured in Europe. This is a huge step forward for the Asian car maker in making their presence known in the global market. Another thing that makes Kia cars more appealing to buyers is its warranty. The car manufacturer offers a seven-year/ 150,000 kilometers warranty for the cee'd family which is transferable to succeeding owners.

Glady Reign is a 32 year old is a consultant for an automotive firm based in Detroit, Mi. She is a native of the motor city and grew up around cars hence her expertise in the automotive field.

5 Tips on Choosing a Trustworthy Hyundai Car Dealer in Maryland

By Rex Freiberger

Purchasing a new hyundai car is a major investment. Aside from buying a new house, it may be the biggest purchase you will ever make in your entire life. For this reason, you should be certain that you are dealing with a trustworthy maryland hyundai car dealer before deciding to part with your hard-earned cash.

We have all heard the horror stories about those shady car dealers who talk fast and separate a sucker from his money even faster. The good news is that they are the minority and that most car dealers are dependable and honest. Here are a few tips to help you find a trustworthy hyundai car dealership in maryland.

(1) Do your homework Before you start talking to car dealers, try to find out what they are all about. Research online and check their track record, the quality of their after-sales service and other information that will shed light on their reputation and trustworthiness.

At the same time, try to get a firm grasp of the kinds of hyundai that you may want given your particular tastes and budget. This way, when you start speaking to maryland hyundai car dealers, you can tell if their sales pitch about the car you want is accurate or just a lot of hogwash. Bear in mind, though, that just because a salesperson quotes you a price that is higher than what youve seen online, it doesnt mean hes a crook. Trying to make a decent profit is just part of their job.

(2) Trust Your Instincts Sometimes you will come across a salesperson that you simply dont trust or are not comfortable with for no apparent reason. Those bad vibes mean something. Perhaps your subconscious has spotted something out of place about this person and is sending you a signal. In this instance, it would be better to ask for someone else.

(3) Use your head, not your heart Oftentimes, the biggest reason why consumers fall for fast-talking, sleazy salespersons is that they make their purchasing decisions based on feelings and emotions rather than rational thought.

There is a lot of psychology that goes into buying a car. We may be enamored with the way it looks, the feel of the steering wheel in our hands, the way the seats press against our body or the feeling that a certain car is perfect for our personality. It just feels right. When you feel this way about a new car, think hard. Otherwise, it will be easy for a smart car dealer to persuade you into making that purchase.

(4) Be careful during negotiations Once you enter the negotiation phase, be very careful since this is where most of the dirty tricks begin. For instance, keep your wits about you when a salesman offers you a car that is, say, $1,000 cheaper than their competitors because there may be some additional hidden charges that you will have to pay such as a documentation fee or handling charge or when your salesman forgets to charge you for sports rims. This is an old ploy. Sometimes you just have to stand up, say no thanks and look for another maryland hyundai car dealer.

(5) Do a full inspection Finally, dont forget to make a full inspection of your new hyundai before leaving the lot. Check for scratches, flaws or other imperfections. The repair of these items should be covered in your deal with the car dealership. It pays to make sure.
